An Independent Home for the Greater Horn
The Greater Horn Horizon Forum (GHHF) is an independent, autonomous, non-profit research and policy forum bringing scholars and intellectuals together to promote dialogue, peace and regional integration.
Bringing Research and Policy Together
GHHF provides a platform for scholars and intellectuals from the Greater Horn of Africa and its diaspora to exchange ideas, conduct research and develop a shared vision for the region’s future.
The Forum connects independent research with policy discussions on peace, stability and regional integration. It encourages constructive dialogue across different perspectives and promotes intellectual independence.
GHHF was launched under UNESCO’s initiative at a founding conference in Djibouti in November 2007, with support from the African Union and IGAD. Approximately 80 academics, policymakers and representatives of regional and international organisations attended.
